I agreed to a one month membership for $169. About three weeks into the membership, I hurt myself during class.

I wasn't able to return so I froze the account. A month later I was still not released to return so I called and cancelled the membership. They said they had to charge my account one more time because they need 30 days. That was in May 2016.

I noticed yesterday that they have billed my account every month! I called to discuss this with them and they said due to the amount, they have to talk to the owner. This is, if not straight up fraud, it certainly is bordering on it.

I will give the owner until the end of the week to decide to reimburse me or file suit. Anyone want to get involved in Class Action against Orange Theory?

Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.

Monetary Loss: $1200.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

This just happened to me - exactly the same situation, what was the outcome? Ive paid 11 months without even knowing they've been taking money out of my account. any sugestions on how to deal with this messed up situation?

I am experiencing a similar situation. I completed the 30 cancellation form in person handed it to the two girls behind the desk and 60 days later my account is still being drafted.

The explanation I received: 'You did not fill out the cancellation form'.

When you do fill the form out, take a picture, have them print you a copy and have the person who received it - SIGN IT. This is very poor customer service, acceptable and unauthorized bank withdraw.

Just realized a very similar thing. I signed up for a 6-month contract assuming I would be paying the monthly fee for 6 months.

I did not continue using beyond the 6 months as the contract was over. We are 18 months later and just realized my account has been charged every month. That is close to $1000 of free money for OTF.

Total BS and not at all explained properly that a 6-month contract actually equals an indefinite payment plan.

This business practice seems borderline fraudulent at best. It feels like complete fraud as the consumer.

Well you are definitely at fault. There are NO 6 month memberships and who doesn't look at hi/her statement for 18 months? Balme whomever you want, but your complaint is absolutely ridiculous
