I signed up for a trial class. After the class, the counter girl came over to me with a membership form, offering discounts, etc...Then the trainer joined in after I said I wanted to go home and think about it.

I asked and was told I could join over the phone later that day but they were only open for another half-hour. I felt uncomfortable and eventually summoned the courage to grab my coat and leave. Needless to say, I won't be joining.

It's unfortunate because I liked the workout and the facility but do not cotton to the hard sell. Makes me think about what other bad stuff might happen.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

They ruin a great workout with a follow up that creeped me out. What am I joining a cult.

There is nothing unusual about that. They offer a free trial, then offer to sell you a membership.

The timing is spot on.

If you were selling something, would you wait until days later, after the excitement has worn off? This is just silly.

Not everything you buy can be a spontaneous decision. The membership dues are expensive regardless of your disposable income and any legitimate business should allow thinking time.
